BTEC Sport

BTEC Sport is a vocational qualification designed to suit the needs of pupils who have good practical ability and a good understanding of sports theory.On successful completion of a BTEC First qualification, learners can progress to or within employment and/or continue their study in the same or related vocational area.
One of the benefits of BTEC Sport is that the assessment approach allows learners to receive feedback on their progress throughout the course as they provide evidence towards meeting the unit assessment and grading criteria.
The Units that each pupil will undertake are listed below. Pupils undertaking the Diploma will complete 7 units (60 Credits), which is the equivalent of 4 GCSE grades. The pupils undertaking the Certificate will complete 2 Units (15 Credits), which is the equivalent of 1 GCSE grade.
