Anger Management

Anger Managment

As some of our pupils find anger the most difficult emotion to deal with, this can lead to a minor misunderstanding becoming a major problem. This booklet can be used with such pupils to help them understand their anger and help them to find better ways of dealing with problems as they arise.

This booklet should be used on a one to one basis with the pupil, working through a few pages at a time, preferably with a mentor. As it requires a great deal of interaction from the pupil, it encourages the pupil to think in depth, about their own behaviour. As each page is completed, another question is posed, in order to help the pupil to understand that they are in control of their anger and can choose to react differently.

The aim of the booklet is to encourage the pupil to explore their own feelings and to try and understand  why they feel angry and how to deal with their feelings in a more positive way. The completed booklet can be kept on file and looked at on a later date, when the pupil can talk about how there feelings and reactions have changed.
