Inclusion
Here at Holy Family, we are an inclusive school and we pride ourselves on giving all of our pupils the care they need to develop to their full potential. We aim to create an inclusive, safe and caring community in which the contributions of students, parents, staff and governors are encouraged and celebrated.
With inclusion, pupils with Special Educational Needs spend all or most of their time with their peers in class, they are supported and encouraged to access the curriculum at their own pace and at their own level. Some pupils may need to withdraw from some lessons in order to be able to follow their own learning development scheme. Pupils are given appropriate support for their end of unit tests, school examinations and external examinations. We are a wheelchair friendly school.
Holy Family School aims to promote relationships in which each person treats others with respect and consideration, irrespective of gender, race, religion or physical or intellectual ability.
We aim to foster in each person self esteem, self-confidence, self motivation and self discipline within the Christian framework of love, forgiveness and reconciliation.
