Learning Support Units (LSU) differ from school to school. They need to be an integral part of the school’s approach to learning and behaviour support, providing separate short-term teaching and support programmes tailored to the needs of disengaged pupils with difficult or challenging behaviour.

At Holy Family, our LSU provides a safe, quiet and comfortable environment for students to work independently, with one to one support or in small groups. Our LSU also offers specialist one to one tuition, reading and spelling intervention, speech and language sessions as well as support for EAL learners and a lunchtime base for SEN pupils.
